PDF to Office
Convert a PDF to an editable Word, Excel or PowerPoint file.
Quick start
- 1Choose a PDF.
- 2Pick the target format: Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
- 3Click “Convert” and download the file.
Target formats
| Format | What is kept |
|---|---|
| Word | Text, headings, lists, simple tables, page breaks, bold and italic. |
| Excel | Detected tables are placed in cells, other text goes to column A. Choose one sheet per page or everything on one sheet. Numbers can be recognised as numbers. |
| PowerPoint | Every page becomes a slide. “Editable” keeps text as text boxes, “Faithful” places the page as an image. |
Limits
A PDF has no paragraphs, tables or styles, only positioned text. qPDF rebuilds the structure from it. That works well for simple documents but only partly for complex layouts with several columns or many graphics.
- Images, colours and graphics are not carried over, except in the PowerPoint “Faithful” mode.
- Scanned PDFs contain no text. There is no text recognition (OCR).
