Metadata
View, edit or remove title, author and other hidden information.
Quick start
- 1Choose a PDF. The existing details plus page count, page size, file size and PDF version are displayed.
- 2Edit the fields or click “Remove all information”.
- 3Click “Save changes”.
Fields
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Title | Document title, which many applications show in the title bar. |
| Author | Name of the person who created the document. |
| Subject | Short description of the content. |
| Keywords | Keywords for searching. |
| Created with | The application in which the document was originally created. |
| PDF producer | The software that wrote the PDF file. |
| Created / Modified | Timestamps. They are only displayed and cannot be edited. |
Remove all information
The button clears all fields and additionally removes the creation and modification dates as well as embedded XMP metadata. This makes sense before you share a file and don’t want to reveal who created it with which application.
