Terms of use
The rules for using qPDF, simple and fair.
Ultimo aggiornamento: 10 October 2026
1. Provider and scope
qPDF is a service of Blickwerk Media UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Prinz-Carl-Anlage 19, 67547 Worms (“we”). These terms apply to the use of the website and all tools offered on it.
2. Service
qPDF provides free tools for working with PDF files, for example to merge, split, compress, rotate, annotate or sign them. All tools run entirely in your browser. Your files are not transmitted to us.
Use is free of charge and requires no account. There is no entitlement to specific features, availability or the continued existence of the service.
3. Acceptable use
You may use qPDF for private and business purposes. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to the files you process and for ensuring that their content does not violate applicable law.
In particular, it is not permitted to:
- use the website to create or distribute unlawful content,
- disrupt or overload the operation of the website or circumvent security measures,
- copy, reproduce or resell the website or parts of it without our consent.
4. Results and backups
We do our best to make the tools work reliably. Nevertheless, with complex or damaged files it cannot be ruled out that a result is faulty or incomplete. Check the result before using it and keep your original files. qPDF never modifies your original file but always creates a new one.
5. Special notes
- The “Sign PDF” function inserts a signature as an image. It is not a qualified or cryptographic electronic signature and does not replace any legally required form.
- Cropping pages is not redaction. Cropped content may remain in the file.
- qPDF does not provide legal advice.
6. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act.
In case of slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, i.e. obligations whose fulfillment you can regularly rely on, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
Because qPDF is offered free of charge, defects and outages are subject to the limits that follow from the nature of a free service. Statutory rights that cannot be restricted remain unaffected.
7. Intellectual property
The software, design, texts and brands of qPDF are protected by copyright and trademark law. We acquire no rights whatsoever in your own files and the results created with them.
8. Changes
We may change the service and these terms with effect for the future, for example for new features or a changed legal situation. The version published at the time applies. By continuing to use qPDF after a change you agree to the current version.
9. Governing law and final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you habitually reside remain unaffected.
Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
